I just got done looking at a home grown small group lesson that is based on 1 John 2:15-17 and the song Shelter by Cousin Affect. Dan "The Sax Man" King is one of our small group leaders who has used his creative gifts to invest in other people. His band, Cousin Affect, is like butterscotch pudding on a summer day.
Maybe someday he'll allow me to share the whole lesson, but for now, enjoy the music...Shelter .

Les Paul has been in my life for 33 years.
I started playing the guitar when I was 12, and when I was 14 I got my first electric. When we shopping, I can remember wanting a Gibson, because they had to be the best. Just like we had a Gibson refrigerator and Bob Gibson was the best pitcher in baseball. And I wanted a Gibson Les Paul guitar, because that's what Peter Frampton played.
But they were too expensive, so I ended up with an Epiphone hollow body which at least was made by Gibson, which was some consolation.
I finally got a real Les Paul a few years ago, and played it proudly.
I think it really say something about your life when people all over the world consider what you do to be quality.
