While in Las Vegas over the weekend, I rode in an elevator with this guy:
His name is David Ragsdale and he plays violin for Kansas. Yes…that Kansas. LG and I saw them in concert on Friday night at Boulder Station.
When we got our tickets, I had expected to see something like one of the original guys and four or five guys that were barely born when “Carry on Wayward Son” came out, but it turned out to be most of the guys who have been with them all the way along.

I also thought it was a bad sign when the lead guitar player came out and put his reading glasses on, but it turned out to be a great show. Musically, they were very tight, the lead vocalist could hit all of the notes, even “don’t you cry no moooooooorrrrrrre.”
Great show, I’d see them again
Then on Sunday morning, we attended Central Christian Church in Henderson, and I found that the author of a book I’m reading, Mad Church Disease, was signing books in the coffee shop. So I got to meet Anne Jackson, who writes a very popular blog and is on staff at the church I would attend if I lived in Nashville, Cross Point Church.
I highly recommend the book for pastors who tend to neglect their spiritual life in order to get their work done.
